It is difficult to say who did what in the production of this film. All of the involved contributed in one way
or the other so therefor instead of presenting each crew member we shall try to give you what we would like to
call:
Production Notes
Who it was that came up with the idea that we should make a film about the Mafia has been lost in the great
time-space vortex, but someone did. There was no actual manuscript for the film, we just took the people that
wanted to be in it and made up a role for them to act. Since there was no script all of the story and the acting
was in some way improvised with the ability to re-shoot a scene if it got to twisted or ridiculous - but we wanted
it to be a little ridiculous thou.
The story that we wanted to start out with was that a Godfather like man should try to hire a professional
assassin that could eliminate a problem for him. Since we were five people, we needed five roles. The Mafia boss was
one and he needed at least two bodyguards. Since there then was two people left they both would have to take on the
roles as assassins. Simple, wasn't it?
After that some suitable outfits were tested and selected for the roles and some vehicles were brought in to the story.
We decided that an old air-strip should work out fine as the background scenery and that the rain would give it the
right look and feel. But why is everyone wearing sunglasses then? Well, you're guess is as good as ours...
As the actual filming started, all of us took turns with the camera. You might notice that at most there are four of us
on the screen at the same time. The improvisation worked out just fine and soon we came to the point where the boss presented
his problem for the two hit men. It was at this point we came up with John Hardcastle, a no-bullshit cop that was
tough on the organized crime. But with this idea a new problem presented itself; who should be playing that role? No need to
worry, the solution was as simple as genius. We just needed to dress up one of us five unrecognizable from the other part
he played.
This done, we needed a new location for the actual "hit" to take place. The solution was a house that belonged to one of
our fathers. This was the perfect choice since it was before it was renovated and therefore had the looks from the 1960s',
which suited us perfectly. This was also the first time any of us filmed indoors a house with the actual lighting problems
that it presents, which can be seen in some scenes.
The concept that the Mafia boss would hire assassins to kill Hardcastle, was intended to be used several times with
the twist of adding new hit men each time. This was going to let the audience meet new characters, until the Godfather decides to
kill the "problem" himself. But that concept was sadly newer really explored, but what was filmed is still quite a
remarkeble movie that needs to be experienced to fully understand its strength.
